Our Christian identity is integral to the brand of Far East Organization. Stewardship is a vital principle that all staff members abide by. As stewards, we are accountable for what we do with the skills, talents and resources that we are entrusted with. Our products and services must be offered with such excellence that it suggests the presence of the Kingdom of God.

We focus much more on the means in which we deliver organisational excellence than the ends. Our core values, Business with Grace, Unity, Integrity, Love, and Diligence guide us to do good business and to do good in business. Our Business Stewardship Framework drives organisational performance across four pillars: Financial, Customer, People and Process & Operations, with attendant performance management systems and a performance-based compensation programme.

Diverse Opportunities

Far East Organization’s wide span of business operations provide diverse opportunities for our staff members to explore varied roles and broaden their experiences. We take a holistic approach to the development and well-being of our people as we believe that our work is a part of our lives. We avail the resources of the Organization to equip staff members to achieve greater potential in life and to grow. Our people development initiatives cover talent development as well as imparting of personal, professional and leadership skills. Signature programmes include Leading the Far East Way by Far East Academy to inculcate values and leadership skills, Grow Your Career to build competencies and accountability in one’s career progression, and our flagship speakers’ platform, the Far East Organization Leadership Speakers Series. To hone our people’s international outlook, the Organization offers a travel grant, ABCD Alphabet School, for staff members to experience global cities through the lenses of the Arts, Buildings, Community and Dining.     

 

Caring for Our People

Our health and well-being benefits provide physical, mental and spiritual support to our people and their families. Far East Organization’s suite of pro-family benefits include Flexible Work Arrangements for staff members to better balance their career and familial or personal needs. Besides Part-Time Work and Flexi-Time schemes, we provide Family Care Leave for staff members who may need to attend to family exigencies. Recognising the role of education in levelling up society and improving lives, the Organization’s Child Education Assistance programme avails tertiary education sponsorships to children of low-income employees.

To provide an additional resource for the emotional uplifting and spiritual well-being of our people, our Organization has an in-house Chaplain to assist our people who may need access to counselling, moral or emotional support.

Staff members in the Organization enjoy equal access to outpatient medical benefits, regardless of rank. Our Flexible Health & Wellness Benefit encourages personal accountability for one’s health and promotes fitness and wellness through a sustained healthy lifestyle. We also offer free Annual Health Screening for all employees to enable them to better manage their personal health conditions and to take early preventive actions.

Inspire Better Lives

As part of our journey to be a Best Employer, Far East Organization conducts an annual Colleague Engagement Survey to gather feedback from staff members and assess how the Organization differentiates itself in the areas of Engaging Leadership, Talent Focus, Agility and overall Employee Engagement.

We take efforts to engage our people throughout their career journey with the Organization, from the induction of new hires through the INspire programme, to Touchpoint checkpoint sessions at the second- or third-month of employment, to Open Chat breakfast dialogues with our leaders to share experiences, ideas and perspectives. 

 

At Far East Organization, we are obliged by our Christian values to seek the welfare of the city, support the causes of the needy and show love to our neighbours. The Organization participates in the Government’s Community/Sports Facilities Scheme by donating purpose-built spaces at our developments for community use. Our social enterprise arm, FEO Grace, extends meaningful employment to people from disadvantaged backgrounds through the provision of cleaning services, floral and corporate gifts. Far East Organization holds an Annual Appreciation Night to recognise and show our gratitude to our partners in construction and their many workers, local and foreign, who toil at the worksites of our developments every day.  

Caring Hearts is our staff volunteer initiative through which our people engage in community projects that contribute to inspiring and improving lives, partnering charities and non-profit organisations for the needy, underprivileged, education and youth programmes, and initiatives that strengthen the family framework.

Far East Organization’s early milestones were built on the entrepreneurial vision of our founder, Mr Ng Teng Fong. Today, we honour his vision by continuing to build a garden of enterprise that endures.
