Assistant Executive Housekeeper (Orchard Rendezvous Hotel)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the housekeeping team, communicating performance expectations and supporting staff development to ensure consistent service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines, providing guidance to junior staff and new hires
  • Act as a people manager who communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions and monitor progress.
  • Coordinates CARE program and repair needs with the Front Office and Engineering Departments.
  • Provide directions to external vendors such as the public area cleaners, pest control, landscape, and laundry to ensure that service level agreements are met.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all housekeeping supplies and equipment by performing regular inspections.
  • Conduct regular inspections of housekeeping supplies, equipment, and public areas to maintain operational standards.
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels of housekeeping supplies and equipment stocks.
  • Prepare departmental budgets, process payables, and participate in financial planning exercises with management.
  • Identify and implement industry best practices to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.  
  • Participate in group-level housekeeping meetings to review productivity, challenges, and best practices.
  • Perform any other job duties assigned by supervisors, carrying them out diligently and professionally.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field.
  • At least 4–6 years of housekeeping experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills with attention to detail.
  • Service-oriented with the ability to assist in maintaining high cleanliness and operational standards.
  • Proficient in housekeeping management systems and familiar with scheduling and inventory procedures.
  • Hospitality certifications (e.g., CERT, service excellence, or operations management) are an advantage.
  • Professional, well-groomed, and composed in daily staff and guest interactions.
