Assistant Manager, Operations Support & Workplace Safety
Responsibilities
- Custodian of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) framework and system; ensure Properties are adhering to the framework.
- Work with Properties on risk assessments across the departments.
- Conduct fact-finding after every WSH incident and propose solutions, working through the implementation with the property.
- Prepare reports, training materials and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) on a regular basis.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to SWPs, SOPs and internal processes across the properties.
- Be the champion on WSH matters for Far East Hospitality; working with authorities as and when required.
- Understand Housekeeping processes at Properties and be the custodian of its SOPs.
- Manage Housekeeping-related projects end-to-end, which includes technology enhancements, process improvements etc.
- Ad-hoc projects as part of the corporate office support function to Properties.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Project Management, Hospitality, Tourism Management or Business.
- Prior working experience in Hospitality Frontline operations of at least 5 years.
- Familiar with Workplace Safety & Health framework and procedures or having attained any WSQ/bizSAFE certifications would be a plus.
- Able to clearly articulate ideas both orally and writing to various stakeholders in the form of reports, memos, training or SOP documents.
- Comfortable with conducting training and briefings to the operations teams.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
- Analytical and have a can-do mindset to take on a myriad of tasks and challenges.
