Assistant/Manager, Finance (Far East Orchard)
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily accounting and financial reporting activities for one or more private investment vehicles/funds, ensuring all accounting processes and procedures adhere to regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, prepare and provide regular updates on financial performance to external stakeholders, and respond to inquires and requests in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. This includes reviewing of direct taxes compliance and having proper transfer pricing documentation.
- Coordinate with external auditors and service providers to prepare and file financial statements and tax documents.
- Manage a team and external service providers (both local and overseas), providing guidance and mentorship to ensure that work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
- Conduct performance review of businesses, business planning, budgeting and forecasting, including reviews, formulations and implementation of policies.
- Support financial and tax due diligence for new acquisitions/businesses and set up of processes for new acquisitions/businesses.
- Enhance process improvements and automation.
- Assist in any other ad-hoc finance-related duties.
Requirements
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in related field, experience with Big 4 accounting firms preferred.
- Experience in consolidation accounting and experience in the real estate/fund industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of IFRS accounting principles and practices, experience in financial reporting and analysis, excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Candidate must be a team player, fast learner, meticulous and have self-initiative.
