Banquet Assistant (Village Hotel Sentosa)

Responsibilities

  • Review basic banquet event orders and follow up on special requests
  • Organize and be responsible for the final set-up arrangement of the event
  • Ensure that tables are set according to standard 
  • Greet guests at the event hall entrance and seat them
  • Present menu and explain all menu items including the daily specials
  • Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner
  • Handle money transactions and be responsible for a cash float
  • Assist in the opening and closing of the beverage inventory
  • Manage problems relating to guest satisfaction and escalate complaints to the manager on duty where necessary
  • Report to the manager on duty on any accident that happens immediately no matter the severity
  • Recognize and address potentially intoxicated, disruptive, or undesirable guests
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors, carrying them out diligently and professionally

Requirements

  • PSLE or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Willing to work rotating shift including weekends and public holidays
