Banquet Assistant (Village Hotel Sentosa)
Responsibilities
- Review basic banquet event orders and follow up on special requests
- Organize and be responsible for the final set-up arrangement of the event
- Ensure that tables are set according to standard
- Greet guests at the event hall entrance and seat them
- Present menu and explain all menu items including the daily specials
- Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner
- Handle money transactions and be responsible for a cash float
- Assist in the opening and closing of the beverage inventory
- Manage problems relating to guest satisfaction and escalate complaints to the manager on duty where necessary
- Report to the manager on duty on any accident that happens immediately no matter the severity
- Recognize and address potentially intoxicated, disruptive, or undesirable guests
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors, carrying them out diligently and professionally
Requirements
- PSLE or equivalent
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Willing to work rotating shift including weekends and public holidays
