Controller (Far East Orchard)

Responsibilities

Financial reporting and analysis

• Oversee financial reporting and FP&A function for UK portfolio of assets
• Lead and develop a financial reporting team in Singapore, and manage service providers in UK/Europe
• Manage routine compliance exercises, including Group and local statutory audits in Singapore and UK/Europe
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and controls, supporting a fast-paced and evolving business
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts for Board reporting
• Provide technical accounting support including accounting for new M&A transactions
• Coach and guide team members and collaborate with other teams (Business Development, Legal) to support business decisions
• Undertake any other duties assigned by superiors diligently and professionally

Business and strategy development

• Support real estate acquisition and divestment exercises
• Support Group expansion plans including set up of new structures and set up of overseas finance functions or SOPs
• Undertake any other duties assigned by superiors diligently and professionally

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA)
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
• Experience in Big 4 audit firms and prior exposure to listed companies are required
• Proven experience in designing or strengthening internal controls
• Able to operate at both hands-on and supervisory levels
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
