Responsibilities

  • Supervise technicians and external contractors to ensure effective execution of engineering and maintenance tasks.
  • Plan and manage shift schedules, conduct daily briefings, and ensure proper handover between shifts.
  • Assign, track, and monitor work orders, ensuring timely completion of defects and service requests.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs and routine inspections of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, equipment, and common areas.
  • Respond promptly to M&E emergencies, troubleshoot technical issues, and escalate incidents to management when necessary.
  • Manage inventory of engineering tools, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring proper usage and availability.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of engineering equipment, tools and spare parts.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery of engineering services.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and sustainability, including energy-saving initiatives and adoption of industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, fire safety regulations, and workplace safety standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in engineering or facilities management, preferably within hospitality, commercial property, or large-scale building operations.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with tenants, management, and contractors.
  • Ability to plan and organise schedules, resources, and work orders.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
