About the role

The Infrastructure Specialist / Lead supports Group IT in maintaining the availability, security, and operational stability of enterprise infrastructure across the Group. This role focuses on network infrastructure, core platform operations, cybersecurity controls, incident support, and vendor coordination, while supporting infrastructure improvements and refresh initiatives.

Note: This role may require work outside standard office hours, including evenings, weekends, or public holidays, during project implementation, maintenance windows, critical incidents, or service recovery activities.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Operations & Stability

  • Support day-to-day operations of corporate infrastructure:
    • Network (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi)
    • Servers/virtualization
    • AD/Entra ID
    • DNS/DHCP
    • Microsoft 365
    • Backup and monitoring
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure and network incidents
  • Perform health checks, root cause analysis, and drive service improvements
  • Maintain runbooks, diagrams, and operational documentation

Cybersecurity & Resilience

  • Support security controls: firewall, access control, vulnerability remediation, endpoint hardening, logging/monitoring, privileged access
  • Support patching, access reviews, and post-incident improvements
  • Support backup operations, recovery testing, and DR readiness

Vendor & Project Support

  • Coordinate with vendors/MSPs on incidents, changes, and service delivery
  • Support technical evaluation, procurement inputs, and service acceptance
  • Support infrastructure improvements, refresh, and implementation activities

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3–7 years of relevant infrastructure experience, preferably in enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience in network infrastructure is highly preferred, including LAN / WAN / Wi-Fi, routing, switching, firewall, segmentation, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Good working knowledge of servers / virtualization, AD / Entra ID, DNS / DHCP, Microsoft 365, backup / recovery, monitoring, and basic cybersecurity controls.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and infrastructure security practices is preferred.
  • Experience supporting operations, incidents, vendors / MSPs, and infrastructure projects.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL, Azure, or security certifications will be an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
