About the role
Be part of a dynamic IT Infrastructure Services team that seeks to be highly visible, responsive and effective in providing guidance and support on the underlying infrastructure platform, systems and services, focusing on computing, backup, identity management, email services an security operations to all business units of Far East Organization spanning from Real Estates Sales & Leasing, Hospitality, Retail to Australian Properties, and other supporting divisions in both Singapore and the region.

The Infrastructure Lead will assist the Head of Infrastructure Services in the lifecycle from Consult, Design, Build to Run the infrastructure systems pertaining to compute and security operations. He will ensure prompt resolution of related incidents, effective problem management and effective operation of the infrastructure services. This includes developing and establishing deployment frameworks, procedures and guides. The specialist will also provide mentoring to team members and outsource partners when required.
The Infrastructure Lead shall report to the Head of Infrastructure Services, Group IT or any other person designated by the Head of Department of Group IT.
Responsibilities
- Take lead in supporting and administrating the infrastructure systems and services including computing, backup, identity management, email services and security operations.
- Partner with Technology Risk team to conduct security review of existing systems and infrastructure and provide advice concerning and the status of risk treatments identified.
- Engage with other team members in the Infrastructure Service Team to identify and implement applicable security controls and provide guidance to implement the controls.
- Assist the Infrastructure Manager to improve the governance and security posture of IT infrastructure systems through developing code of practice (COP) and work instructions.
- Assist the Infrastructure Manager in the resolution of critical and complex operations issues escalated from Service Desk to ensure meeting the operational-level agreement (OLA).
- Analyse management reports pertaining to system health and performance, inventory and cost tracking and identify improvement in operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure that the outsourced Partners adhere to the contractual obligations to administer, support and maintenance of the infrastructure systems and services.
- Assist the Infrastructure Manager to design and implement the most appropriate infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements, taking into consideration reliability, seamless, future proof, security and cost effectiveness.
- Participate in procurement process, including soliciting quotations, price negotiation, recommendation, goods received/service acceptance and payment submission.
Requirements
- Degree holder in Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure design, plan and implement and mange enterprise level infrastructure.
- Broad technical knowledge across the IT infrastructure domains, such as network and telecommunication, servers, storage, monitoring software and cloud computing, security technologies, security practices, tests tools and processes.
- Experienced in implementing and operating cloud solutions from Microsoft Azure.
- Experienced in implementing and operating security prevention and detection controls such as SIEM, VA, firewall policy review, and/or privilege access management solutions preferred.
- Preferably certificated in cloud computing and security technologies, such as Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).
- Strong initiative and enjoys taking ownership of issues.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Good team player and process driven with eyes for details.
