Investment Analyst
Responsibilities
- Assess and execute real estate investment opportunities, primarily within the real estate lodging sector.
- Track, analyse, and forecast property trends and key drivers in designated regional markets, such as Asia-Pacific, the UK and other markets.
- Build and refine advanced financial models, perform valuations, and conduct comparable analysis for potential investments.
- Assist in conducting thorough market and property-level due diligence, including the review of property financials, rent rolls, and third-party reports. Working alongside the corporate development team to assist in various transaction workstreams as part of due diligence process.
- Prepare detailed written analysis and investment proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the strategic planning process, including researching new asset classes and potential market expansions.
- Maintain and update internal databases for economic and real estate research to support decision-making.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in solving complex problems.
- Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-moving environment.
- Adapt at analysing data and trends to derive actionable insights.
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and able to communicate effectively with senior management.
- Sound understanding of finance principles, financial statements, and accounting practices, especially as they relate to real estate investments.
- Proficiency in financial modelling is mandatory.
- Experience in creating compelling presentation decks and writing detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel for financial analysis and data manipulation.
- Working knowledge of additional technical programs (such as Power BI, Tableau, or others) is a plus.
- Ability to present findings clearly and persuasively to a variety of stakeholders, including senior management.
