Room Division Manager (The Barracks Hotel Sentosa)
Responsibilities
The Room Division Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, administration and performance of the Rooms Division operations. Working closely with the Hotel Manager, the Room Division Manager ensures exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, service quality and financial performance in line with the hotel's objectives and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Rooms Division to ensure efficiency, profitability, and exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Develop and implement departmental strategies, budgets, forecasts and operational plans in collaboration with the Hotel Manager.
- Monitor departmental performance through key metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement action plans to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure all brand standards, service protocols, and quality assurance requirements are consistently upheld across all guest touchpoints.
- Drive guest satisfaction initiatives, promptly address guest feedback and service recovery situations, and cultivate a guest-centric culture within the team.
- Lead, coach, and develop departmental leaders and team members to build a high-performing, engaged and service-oriented workforce.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, Engineering and other departments to maximize room revenue, occupancy and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety requirements, security procedures, and relevant statutory regulations.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

At least 8 years of relevant hospitality experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role overseeing Rooms Division operations.

Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services and other rooms-related functions.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and guest service skills.

Team player with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative, and the ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.

Strong understanding of hotel operations, budgeting, revenue management, and service quality standards.

Proficient in Property Management Systems (PMS); Opera knowledge will be an advantage.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound operational decisions while maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.
