Senior Analyst/Assistant Manager, Asset Management
Responsibilities
The Analyst within the Asset Management team will support the Asset Manager in tracking and optimizing the performance of the assets within the portfolio. The role will provide a good exposure to an interesting portfolio of hospitality assets across the region, ranging from city hotels to beach-front resorts. The Analyst will be required to carry out analysis and interpretation of revenue, demand generators, financial reporting, and management data regularly to assess the performance of the portfolio, and work closely with the Asset Manager to recommend short and long-term strategies to enhance performance.
- Monitor and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual performance of the hotels and consolidate performance against budgets and market benchmark,
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and other periodic reports covering both property performance, market trends and other relevant indicators,
- Support in the preparation of management and board reports, to ensure timely, accurate and consistent reporting to senior management and board,
- Conduct market research, collate and maintain key market and tourism statistics for the locations of properties relevant to the portfolio,
- Support in tracking and management of CAPEX spending and other financial or statistical analysis through data collation and validation,
- Compile benchmarking reports using relevant internal performance indicators from owned hotel portfolios as well as referring to other external sources of information to support business analysis and budget reviews,
- Assist in annual Strategic Asset Plans, budget reviews and other ad hoc projects (such as feasibility studies, sustainability, asset enhancement, etc.) of the properties through data collation and analysis,
- Co-ordinate annual property valuations across the portfolio, including engagement with external valuers and consolidation of valuation results,
- Support the development and enhancement of internal reports and other databases, and prepare presentation decks as and when required,
- Support in driving system enhancements, digitalisation initiatives, and automation of analytical and reporting functions to improve efficiency and accuracy,
- Undertake any other duties assigned by superiors diligently and professionally.
Requirements
- Degree in Business/ Accounting/ Hospitality preferred.
- Interest in the hotel industry, minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in financial modelling and valuation methodologies, with relevant knowledge of real estate investment and asset management practices.
- High level of competency in MS Office and other analytical tools.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive team player who is able and willing to work independently in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
