Senior F&B Assistant (Village Hotel Changi)


1. Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
2. Review basic banquet event orders and follow up on all special requests.
3. Complete opening and closing side work as assigned and have all tables set according to standards.
4. Greet guests at the entrance and seats them.
5. Answer the telephones according to hotel’s standards.
6. Anticipate and service of guests’ requirements before requests.
7. Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner.
8. Present menu and explain all menu items as well as daily specials.
9. Familiar with wine lists and in wine and beverage service including glassware used and appropriate garnishes as well as beer and mineral water.
10. Utilize the hotel’s computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks and completing closing readings.
11. Handle money transactions and being responsible for a cash float.
12. Assist in doing the opening and closing beverage inventory during their respective shift.
13. Organize and be responsible for final set-up arrangements.
14. Carry trays, bus and reset tables with line, china, glass and silver.
15. Ascertain guests’ satisfaction and handle problems which may arise. Inform manager of the problem.
16. Report to the F&B Manager / Assistant Banquet Manager / Banquet Manager any accident immediately no matter how minor.
17. Recognize and address potential intoxicate, disruptive or undesirable guests.
18. Attend all training programmes and departmental meetings.
19. Prepare to be cross-trained in all Food and Beverage Outlets within the department and assists in any areas assigned by the management.
20. Respond properly in any hotel emergencies or safety situations.
21. Attend meetings and trainings when required.
22. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
23. To be able to lead a team under his/ her care whenever is tasked upon.
24. To plan and train new staffs under his/ her care following standard procedures set by the management.
25. Keep maintenance of operating equipment and report to Senior F&B Executive / Assistant Banquet Manager / Banquet Manager immediately no matter how minor.


  • Diploma in Hospitality or F&B Service
  • At least 3 years of working experience in relevant field
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills
